This is a collection of photos of the various computer mods I have made. I started doing computer mods before they really became mainstream. Nowdays you can just purchase all these mods plus lots of other ones. It is a lot more fun and satisifying building them yourself. Shuttle Dual 120MM fan Template
Geforce Fan Upgrade: May 2000 I was fortunate to buy the original Geforce right after it was released. However by summer the card was overheating. So I retro-fitted a cooler master K6-2 fan on it, and it no longer overheats.
Aopen HX-08 Mod - December 2000 I cut out some of the excess metal in the middle section of my HX08 Full tower case. This was done to improve airflow and to allow better routing of the cables.
Holes in CPU fan - Jan 2001 The holes in the HSF helped reduced the temperature of the CPU by 3 degrees. I sent it to [H]ardocp and they displayed it on the frontpage. Since then many HSF have been designed to allow more air to be blown onto the chip.
80MM Fan Adapter - October 2000 This is a fan adapter I made to allow the use of a 80mm/38CFM fan onto an Athlon processor. I made it out of the top of an old cdrom, that is why it looks so ghetto. These adapters are now common place and are made of plastic.
